In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Unique arms
• Survey Corps mount

Latest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
